A Belonging Place

A Belonging Place

FAITH TALK
with Danny Dodd

Welcome to Friend Day at Levy! We appreciate all of our guests worshipping with us. It is our joy and delight to praise God together with you. Thank you for joining us. Your presence is our blessing.

At Levy we strive to create a belonging place—a church were everyone is welcome and can find a place to serve God together. Our goal is about “Building a strong family for the glory of God.” There is room for all in this endeavor. We realize that it is by God’s grace, not our works that we are saved in order to together be God’s workmanship, ready and willing to serve him with all of our gifts and heart (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you are looking for a church home; a place where you fit; a family committed to honoring and serving God; then we invite you to join us!

If you would like to know even more about our church family, our Learning Levy orientation class meets today at 9 a.m. in the family room within the Ministry Center. It is a fantastic way to discover more about our church and discover our various ministry opportunities. Join our connections minister, Cecil May and his team as they lead this class.

One noticeable thing about Levy is our kids! We love kids and are blessed by them. We have classes, activities, and service projects just for them. Our children’s minister, Sierra Gustafson, and her large team of teachers and volunteers do a terrific job with our kids. Next weekend a large group will be in Rogers, AR representing Levy in the Leadership Training for Christ convention.

Also our youth group is strong and vibrant. We have numerous special events, ministry opportunities, as well as weekly classes, devotionals and activities for our teens. Our youth ministers, Rachel Griffith and Jesse Stacy, effectively lead our student ministry—always challenging our teens to grow in Christ.

If you are looking for involvement on Sunday nights, our family life minister, Joe Chesser, leads our small group ministry. These groups also offer a belonging place—a smaller setting in which to enjoy fellowship and Bible study. And there is always room for one more in any of our small groups!

These are just a few of our ministries at Levy. In addition we have an active and healthy women’s ministry, men’s ministry, 49ers (senior saints ministry), young adults and many more. They are all good places to be!

Another good place to be is in our Ministry Center after worship. Part of our Friend Day tradition is enjoying a potluck meal together. Please join us.

Most of all we strive to serve and follow and honor Jesus through it all! That is what is really is all about. I love you church!
