Cardboard Testimonials 2018

FAITH TALK

“Great and marvelous are you deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the ages. Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed” (Revelation 15:3-4). This was the song of Moses and the Lamb sung in heaven to honor and praise God. This morning our praise captures a glimpse of what is yet to come—so worship God with all of your heart!

We are delighted to “officially” welcome the Hawkins family to Levy. Michelle and her daughters, Katelyn and Rachel have already been a regular part of us for a while. If you have not met them, please do and personally welcome them.

Today is Cardboard testimonial Sunday! We appreciate everyone who is participating by sharing their story in this simple, but powerful way. We all have a God story and sharing it is a biblical way to encourage, teach and honor God.

These are transitional times at Levy. I appreciate James Telgren and can relate to his desire to return to preaching ministry. Please pray for him, Andrea and Annelise as they journey toward their next step in ministry. Pray for our journey toward filling two ministry roles here at Levy also. Pray for God to lead us all to find just the right fits— for James and for Levy.

God bless Nathan Taylor, Danny Sullivan, Phillip Sherrill and Doug Hurst in their desire to join our elders in shepherding the flock at Levy. We now have the opportunity to affirm them along with our existing shepherds over the next couple of weeks. Levy has a rich history of faithful shepherding by godly men who love the Lord and love this church. What a tremendous blessing! Please keep this process in your daily prayers.

Next Sunday (May 6) we honor our graduating seniors. If you have not done so, please take time to sign the quilts along the rear of the auditorium. Thanks go to all the Levy ladies who created them. They are a beautiful and memorable gift to all of our seniors.

Phillip Sherrill is coming with his singing class on Wednesday nights in May to the auditorium and invites everyone to join in on the songs! Music in May is now an annual Levy tradition! Come and praise God in song while also learning new songs on each May Wednesday night.

I love you church!
