FAITH TALK
with Danny Dodd

“Dear friends, let us love one another” (1 John 4:7). One way to demonstrate this love is to be present in worship—encouraging each other in “psalms, hymns and spiritual songs” (Ephesians 5:18). Love overflows from worship and worship overflows from love! It is a win-win situation. That is why your presence here each Sunday is so significant. Thank you for being here today!

Once again Levy, you demonstrated wonderful generosity in responding to our Harvest Sunday challenge with contributions and commitments thus far over $325,000 toward the goal of $360,000. Incredible! I praise God for you. People all over the globe will benefit! Thank you.

We were excited to welcome Eric Deaver and Kristy Burton, along with their son, Logan to Levy last Sunday. Please personally greet them, welcome them to our family and pray for them.

I am so thankful for our deacons! We have guys who faithfully serve us well in a variety of ministries. Deacons are a blessing to a church! Right now (through November 11) we are asking for you to identify other men who can also serve us in this way (see Acts 6:1-7; 1 Timothy 3:8-13). We have forms in our foyers to assist you. Pick one up and prayerfully consider suggesting someone who can continue to bless Levy through his service.

So excited to hear about the start of a new adult single’s ministry here! Over half of the population in our nation is now single—so this is indeed a needed ministry and outreach. Thanks to Carol Bailey and Randy Campbell (among others) for taking the initiative in this. You have our prayers and support!

New members and others interested in knowing more about the Levy family are invited to attend our next Learning Levy class on Sunday, November 11. Mark your calendars!

After our mission focus in October, it is now back to our regular Sunday morning Bible class schedule. Please make being a part of one of our classes a priority. Not only do our classes offer great chance to study together, they provide terrific fellowship and connecting opportunities. If you have not been to one of our classes in a while—come back and join us.

Have an outstanding week in the Lord. I love you church!
