Christ’s resurrection redefines everything. It is the foundation of our proclamation of faith. Without it, we would have no reason for faith. It guarantees that death has no sting. It is reflected in our baptism as we are raised to new life. It is why we can confidently embrace this new life. Praise God for three days later when Jesus arose!
What a wonderful day to worship God together! It is Easter Sunday! Thank you for joining us in celebrating the resurrection of our Savior. It is something we also do each Sunday. After all, the resurrection of Christ is the very reason we have for celebrating. It is the “good news” that changed everything. It brings hope and anticipation of our own triumph. Praise God for three days later when Jesus arose!
Read closely throughout the pages of the New Testament. You cannot miss the emphasis of Christ’s resurrection. Repeatedly the inspired authors applied resurrection principles to assorted challenges. The resurrection is why we do not give up; why we can persevere though challenges and over obstacles. It is why we can believe what to some is the unbelievable. It is why in spite of persecution, human failure and scandal down through generations that faith in God is still alive and thriving. Praise God for three days later when Jesus arose!
And then when our end comes; when it is our time to fold up our tent; when after we have done what we have done in the flesh; we will be able to overcome mortality with immortality. Without the resurrection this would be impossible. Praise God for three days later when Jesus arose!
Then, when God makes the call, one day Jesus will burst through the clouds bringing God’s complete justice and grace—remaking the creation according to God’s eternal plan where He reigns fully and sin does not. Then we will find our room in his house as Jesus promised. Praise God for three days later when Jesus arose!
“Up from the grave He arose, with a mighty triumph o’er His foes. He arose a Victor from the dark domain and He lives forever with His saints to reign. He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!”
Easter for us also means that our Leadership Training for Christ team represented us well at the LTC convention. Looking forward to hearing more about that!
Thanks again for praising God with us! Please accept our invitation to celebrate with us weekly.
I love you church!
