Why Stay Here Until We Die

Why Stay Here Until We Die

FAITH TALK

It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood to worship our great God! Thank you for prioritizing praise and joining us. It is one way to overcome the summertime blues! Your presence is an encouragement and a blessing!

This Wednesday night, June 6, we kick off our Sumer Series. This is always a great mid-week summer highlight. Our guest speakers will be following our “Thy Word” theme and weekly Bible reading to bring a message out of those texts. Our brother, Garry Neal, as is our annual custom, starts things off. Please check the back of this bulletin for the full schedule and be in prayer for the speakers and this effort. Come and join us all summer on Wednesday nights!

Next Sunday our Vacation Bible School begins (June 10-13)! Our kids will take a Journey through Babylon. Things will get started with a dinner under the pavilion at 5:00 p.m. Of course there will be classes and all kinds of activities for the kids, plus our own Clay Smith will be teaching a class each night for the adults in the auditorium. So there is something for everyone! Keep this special ministry in your prayers and plan to be involved. See Sierra Gustafson for more details.

Also beginning tonight is a summer-long shepherd-led series on Sunday nights here at the building. Each Sunday night (except for VBS) one of our shepherds will lead a study on the Parables of Jesus at 5:00 p.m. So if you are looking for a place to be on Sunday nights—come and join the group that meets here. This also offers a good opportunity to get to know better our elders. First up is Tom Cloninger.

Please continue to pray for the Levy group in the Dominican Republic. They are scheduled to return, God willing, late Tuesday night. Then on June 18, we have another group of Levites going to Haiti. Remember them in your prayers also.

If you are new to Levy or are interested in learning more about our church then the Learning Levy class is for you. It is an orientation to all things Levy. It meets this morning at 9:00 in the family room within the Ministry Center.

If you still have not taken a new directory picture, Kijana Royal and his team have moved to the north foyer—so please smile for the camera!

I love you church!
