SATURDAY, AUGUST 18 – Veteran’s Cookout – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Please come support our local veterans at the cookout. We need people to serve, greet and mingle with our former military. This is a tremendous opportunity to show our appreciation for their service, so let’s show them our Levy hospitality!
CONGRATULATIONS! – Turner James Coy born to Andrew and Lauren on July 30. He arrived weighing 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was 20 ½ inches. He joins his big brother Cole along with proud grandparents Jim and Toni Coy. There is a baby basket for Lauren and Turner on the shelf in the education building down the hall from the elevator.
HEART MOM/SISTER Registration is now open! It takes quite a bit of time to arrange the groups, so please sign up now! The mission is to help women develop connected relationships with other women, glean wisdom through their experiences, and to help each other grow in Christ. This year’s theme is A Woman of Purpose. Please contact Barbara Cooper or Terry Rainey with any questions. Registration is available on the Levy Facebook page or Levy church website. The deadline for signing up is August 15.
Backpack Buddies – It is time to sign up to be a backpack buddy and to get one! Make sure you sign your kids up and as well as any adult who wants to pray for a specific student here at Levy. There will be a form at Levy Central or sign up online at the Levy Facebook page or church website.
Levy Christian Kindergarten (LCK) still has a few openings for the 2018-2019 school year! LCK is a Montessori preschool/Kindergarten right here at Levy educating children ages 3-6 years old (child must be 3 by August 1, 2018 & potty-trained). Reminders for the Children’s Ministry:
• The 4th – 6th grade swim party is tomorrow.
• There will be a come-and-go ice cream party for interns in room 1001 today after church. Come say goodbye to our friends as they get ready to leave!
• Back to school party is Sunday at 5 p.m.! We having Wacky family Olympics. Invite your friends and neighbors!
Sundays in August – Don Alan, Laura Frost & Allison Bowsman are teaching a teen class on how to teach children’s classes. Parents are welcome to attend as well.
