FAITH TALK
with Danny Dodd

Praise God and give thanks to the Father! It is Sunday! That means I get to worship with my faith family. Worshiping with you is a highlight of my week. Thank you for blessing and encouraging me with your presence. I appreciate it and appreciate the foresight of our Father in creating such a community as the church. It is all worth celebrating!

We welcomed Emily Parsons to Levy last week. If you have not met her and personally greeted her, please do so. We greatly appreciate her desire to worship and work in God’s kingdom here!

This week we welcome Aubrie Larkins. This young lady comes to us from Orlando, Florida via Harding University. We are honored that she chose to make Levy her home. Please personally meet her and pray for both Aubrie and Emily.

Next Sunday, October 7, is a special day at Levy. Not only does is it our first Sunday in our month long Harvest focus, we welcome Cecil and Patti May to Levy as Cecil begins his work with us a connecting minister. After worship we are hosting a meet-and-greet reception in the lobby with light refreshments. I know schedules are always full, but please try to make this a priority Sunday and help us welcome the Mays as a congregation. Pray for them to as they transition here, search for a house and settle into the Levy family.

Also pray for Joe Chesser as he will soon join our ministry staff as our family life minister. Both Joe and Cecil bring experience and a great work ethic to their ministry roles. I am excited about these staff additions and working diligently with these guys to help Levy continue to grow and thrive. Pray for all of us—that God will use us to serve faithfully.

As I mentioned, next Sunday kicks off Harvest month. First up are presentations of Levy-led mission efforts during Bible class hour in the auditorium. Everyone is invited to attend, but other adult classes can still meet if desired.

God certainly has been blessing us lately with numerous new members and guests every Sunday. I praise him for that. It is exciting for sure, but there remains empty pews all around us. Just imagine what it would be like if they were full! Well, it takes us all to accomplish that. All of us being here; all of us encouraging one another; all of us reaching out to those not here; and all of us praying! Let’s do it church!

Spread the word this week about Jesus. I love you church!
