God Will Do What He Thinks is Best – Danny Sullivan

FAITH TALK
with Danny Dodd

It is Thanksgiving week! As we count the blessings for which we express thanksgiving, please include in those the Levy family. God’s blessings define our faith family here. I personally, am thankful to be a part of this church; thankful for opportunities to worship and serve with you; and thankful that you are helping to build a strong family for the glory of God here!

Do not forget that our Thanksgiving week schedule is different than normal. Classes will not meet this Wednesday night (November 21). Instead we will have our annual Thanksgiving finger food fellowship and devotional on Tuesday night (November 20) at 6:oo p.m. (Note both the date and time change). This year it will be held in the upper room (third floor in the newest building) with Joe Chesser and Cecil May leading the activities. If you are not traveling, please make it a priority to be here for this wonderful fellowship time with the Levy family.

As the year winds down—so does our daily Bible reading. This discipline has been a tremendous and rich blessing for me. Spending time in these reading texts all year in study and preparation continually challenged me to dig deeper and open myself up to God’s Word. I hope the reading of “Thy Word” also benefited your spiritual walk. Let’s be sure to finish strong!

A little sneak peek—my preaching theme for 2019 is captured in one simple word: “Others.” You will be hearing much more about this soon.

For all new members, Sunday, December 9th is a date to note and remember. You are invited to our Welcome Luncheon after worship. It offers an opportunity to enjoy a terrific time of fellowship and food with Levy leadership. So, please plan to attend! Cecil May is the contact person for this event.

Danny Sullivan is preaching today. I am thankful for Danny blessing us each month through his presentation of God’s Word!

My family and I are away this week. Pray for our travel mercies. We will miss being with you today.

“Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things” (Psalm 107:8-9)

I love you church!
