Harvest Sunday with Daniel Napier from Croatia

FAITH TALK
with Danny Dodd

Welcome to Harvest Sunday! We are extremely delighted to be able to worship with you on this special day. Your presence is greatly appreciated and encouraging. It is a wonderful blessing to be a part of the Levy family.

Our Harvest Sunday brings together all of the best about Levy—the vision and generosity of this church. Harvest funds literally go global, in that, numerous missionaries across the world are assisted; numerous short-term mission trips are aided; and untold numbers of people have the chance to hear the gospel as a result. So thank you for participating in this vision and generosity. Thank you for caring about spreading the gospel both locally and globally. And thank you for being a part of the Levy family and helping us build a strong family for the glory of God.

Our guest presenter today is Dr. Daniel Napier. Daniel has extensive missionary experience having served as a resident missionary in Croatia. More recently he has been serving on the facility of Austin School of Theology in Austin, TX and is now preparing for a return to mission work in Greece. Daniel spent a week with us at the Baltic Family Camp in Lithuania a few years ago—blessing us through his teaching. We are delighted to welcome Daniel and his daughter, Kristina to Levy!

Harvest Sunday would not be possible without the great work of our mission committee all year long. Tim Diles, Jonathan Albright, Jerry Oldridge, Margaret Bredlow, Sherry Pogue, Phillip Huff and Julie Watson work diligently all throughout the year being terrific stewards of the harvest funds. Thank you all for your dedicated service! Special recognition also goes to Karen Sullivan, Sherry Pogue, Chris Perry and Elizabeth Young for helping this committee specifically plan for Harvest month activities.

Remember our all-church potluck after worship this morning. Please plan to stay, enjoy good food and fellowship and continue to celebrate Harvest Sunday together. Note also that there will be no evening service at the building tonight.

Levy is in our community! Thanks to all who helped Sherry Ratliff staff the fall festival at Ridge Road School last week. This remains a wonderful and needed ministry that is making a difference. This week is trunk-or-treat, which has expanded to become a community event. Mission work begins at home!

And we all can be missionaries. We can by speaking a word about the Lord to our neighbors, friends and folks we interact with in our community. Just go and tell what the Lord has done for you!

I love you church!
