The Generation Who Left

FAMILY TALK
with Danny Dodd

What an amazing day! It is amazing because we are together praising our amazing God! I missed worshipping with you last Sunday. That just makes me anticipate the blessings of today even more. Thank you for prioritizing worship and worshipping here. It is greatly appreciated and encouraging! It is great to be back home after the holiday travel.

Please welcome a new family to our Levy family. We are excited to welcome Aaron and Stacey Moore and their children, Zachery, Avery and Spencer. Aaron is the brother of our own Jennifer Tate and they recently moved here. Make sure to pray for them and personally greet them.

Sunday, October 7, is shaping up to be a big, not-to-miss Sunday. Not only will we host a reception after worship to welcome our new connecting minister, Cecil May III and his wife, Patti, we will also kick off our Harvest Month activities. During the Bible class hour, several Levites will be sharing mission reports in the auditorium. So please plan to be here to participate in these events.

Our Learning Levy class meets today in the family room within the Ministry Center at 9 a.m. This informative class is for all new members and anyone desiring to know more about our church and how to become involved in the kingdom work here. Tom and Susan Cloninger are currently leading this effort.

Tonight our GAP kids training ministry returns to bless the Sunday night group—here at the building at 5 p.m. I appreciate everyone involved in helping our kids grow in their ministry gifts. This effort, along with Leadership Training for Christ, is a fantastic way to encourage our kids to develop their gifts to God’s glory.

The men’s study breakfast returns on Tuesday, September 18 at 6:30. Hugh Hale will lead a study on God’s Supremacy and Attributes. All men are invited to attend.

Mission work begins at home. I know you have heard that before, but it is true. I praise God for Levy’s mission heart—literally helping to spread the gospel across the globe. I always enjoy our Harvest focus and am continually amazed at Harvest contribution each year. But let’s consider our community, our neighborhoods as mission points also. We all are missionaries. It is simple—just invite someone to worship with you and let God do the rest.

Have a wonderful week of blessings with the Lord. I love you church!
