Ain’t no cure for the summertime blues? Sure there is—
worshipping God together! It is amazing how a little praise can lift our
spirits and bless our day. Your presence is a major part of these blessings.
Thank you for being here. God is good all the time and all the time God is
good!
It is time to rejoice with the angels in heaven! Recently
Gus McConnell was baptized by his dad,
Hugh! We certainly praise God for his decision and
celebrate with all of the McConnell family. Please
give Gus a hug and pray for him as he begins his
Christian life.
We are also delighted to welcome the Parish family!
Tommy and Carrie and their daughters, Lauren
Parish and Micah Ruiz along with husband Bersain
and their son Channing have all already been worshipping
with us. If you have not met them, please
do so and personally welcome them to the Levy
family. We are excited that they are here!
Also welcome Faydean Gatliff. She is Becky Kay’s
mother and has been worshiping with us for a
while. We are glad to welcome her!
Please make plans to join us this Wednesday night (July 4) for our annual
old-fashioned ice cream social in the Ministry Center. There will be no
classes—only treats and wonderful fellowship. Make or bring your favorite
ice cream or other goodies and join the fun and blessings.
Take up the challenge! Look around you today. If someone you know is
absent, make a commitment to contact them this week and let them know
they were missed. In a congregation our size it takes the entire family to
do this—to be able to encourage other family members. If we all get involved
in looking out for one another what joy and encouragement that
will bring! So take up this challenge this week! God will only bless your
efforts!
Next Sunday (July 8) is our next Learning Levy orientation class for new
members and those who desire to know more about our church family.
Tom and Susan Cloninger will host the class, which meets in the family
room within the Ministry Center at 9 a.m.
Please look over our prayer list in this bulletin. Many within our church
have prayer needs due to loss of loved ones, health challenges and other
issues. Pray without ceasing for those in need.
